Kristen Connors of Mansfield swam the race of her life, but fell short of her dream of making the U.S. Olympic team in trials Thursday in Omaha, Neb.

Connors, 18, who just graduated from Bishop Feehan High School, shaved two-tenths of a second off her personal best in the 200 meter breaststroke to finish 37th out of 88 swimmers at the trials.

Competing against some of the best swimmers in the world, most of whom are older than her, Connors said she was pleased with her results.
'Clothes to Go' plans to be open in summer

MANSFIELD - The Clothes to Go clothing pantry will be open all summer from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays, except for Fourth of July weekend (July 5).

Clothes to Go has reached out to more than 1,000 people since opening last December. It needs children's spring and summer clothing in all sizes and men's XLGXXXX, tops and bottoms. Donations can be dropped off during pantry hours or left on the front porch daily by 3 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering at the pantry, call the church and leave a message. Clothes to Go is at Faith Fellowship United Methodist Church, 9 North Main St. Mansfield. Questions? Call 508-339-6040.
