NORTON - The three-member board of health has lost its second member in less than two weeks.
Karen Doucette resigned Tuesday, citing "unfortunate circumstances," Selectmen Chairwoman Mary Steele said Thursday night. Doucette resigned 13 days after citizen-at-large Anthony Bono stepped down for health reasons and because he is moving to Middleboro. News Briefs
Motorcycle run for troops July 27
NORTON - The fourth annual Support Our Troops Motorcycle Run, to support wounded veterans, will be held by Norton VFW Post 8049 on Sunday, July 27. Registration is at 9 a.m., with the run leaving at 11. Rain date is Aug. 3. Cost is $15 per person, which includes food and music. The menu includes steak tips, barbecue chicken, chili and beans and salad. Raffles will also be held.
