John and Anne (Lyons) Carty recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Their four children and their spouses, six grandchildren and many family members celebrated the occasion with a luncheon at Periwinkles Restaurant in Essex, followed by a chartered Essex River cruise.
John and Anne were married on June 21, 1958 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson.
The Cartys are longtime residents of Attleboro and have been summer residents of Long Beach in Rockport for 30 years.
