Local obituaries were reported for Mary Desilets, 59, of North Attleboro, and Roger Poirier, 58, of Norfolk.
Mary Desilets, 59, longtime NA resident
NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Mary L. Desilets, 59, of Hawk Avenue, died Thursday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Facility, Providence. She was the wife of Alan Desilets, to whom she had been married 33 years last month.
Born in Attleboro on May 6, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Ovila and Gladys (Mann) Doucette. She had resided in North Attleboro for the past 33 years, previously living in Foxboro where she had resided for many years. She was a 1960 graduate of Foxboro High School and had attended Burdett College in Worcester.
Mrs. Desilets had been employed as a customer service representative at Health Enterprises Industries in North Attleboro for three years.
She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Brink of Waukesha, Wis.; a son, Daniel Desilets of North Attleboro; a sister, G. Joyce Doucette of North Attleboro; a brother, James Doucette of North Attleboro, and a niece.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Doucette.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Commonwealth Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mark's Church, Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls, with the Rev. Peter Graziano officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum.
Roger Poirier, 58, owned Wrentham business
NORFOLK -- Roger Edmund Poirier, 58, of Barrell Place, died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of Mary (Pascarelli) Poirier.
Born in Woonsocket, R.I. on Jan. 25, 1943, he was the son of Florence (Auclair) Poirier and the late Armand Poirier. He was a graduate of Cumberland (R.I.) High School.
Mr. Poirier had owned the Poirier and Ware Heat Treating Co. of Wrentham.
He was a member of the Franklin Country Club and the Woonsocket Men's Club.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Joel Poirier of North Attleboro; two daughters, Jane Diauto of Attleboro and Patricia Collins of Wrentham; four stepdaughters, Paula Marchand of Blackstone, Pamela Smith of Mendon, Marianne Johnson of Uxbridge and Nancy San Clemente of Franklin; three brothers, Robert Poirier in Florida, Raymond Poirier of Blackstone and Ronald Poirier in Tennessee; three sisters, Doris Woodard of Mapleville, R.I., Pauline Laliberte of Cumberland and Lori Ward of Woonsocket, and 13 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Jude's Church, Main Street, followed by burial in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham.
Arrangements are by the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Wrentham. |
