ATTLEBORO -- Texas Instruments is stepping up efforts to market its sprawling Attleboro campus, and has elicited the muscle of a real estate services firm founded by Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach to broker the property.
`` Our goal in hiring Staubach is to achieve the best use of the site for the larger community and good value for TI,'' Texas Instruments project manager Jeff Bergman said Tuesday.
The Texas-based Staubach Co. has offices worldwide specializing in site selection, financing, design and construction consulting.
The TI property off Forest and Pleasant streets includes 148 acres of industrial land, of which 90 acres have been developed with buildings, and 113 acres of residential property.
The site includes both developed and undeveloped land. A mixture of residential, commercial and industrial uses is being considered, Bergman said.
TI's Sensors & Controls business, which is the city's largest employer, occupies about 1.1 million square feet at its Attleboro site.
