MANSFIELD -- The Mansfield Music and Arts Soci ety and businessman Karl Clemmey have settled their three-year land court dispute over the non-prof it group's proposed holiday lights festival fund-rais er.

The long-awaited settlement finally came down to simple traffic control that both sides said they had either sought or had planned from the beginning.

The society will hire a police officer to direct traf fic in front of Clemmey's trailer storage facility next door to the Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts, which hosts the festival.

The festival will run from Nov. 19 until Jan. 2, 2005.
