Crash kills two

FOXBORO -- A Rhode Island couple was killed Saturday when their SUV rolled over and crashed in the Interstate-495 construction zone.

The couple's three children, riding in the back seat, survived the accident because they were wearing seat belts, state police Sgt. Paul Letsche said. The parents were not restrained, police said.

Mohamed Salim, 34, of East Providence was driving a Ford Expedition in the right travel lane on I-495 north just north of I-95 around 1 p.m. when the SUV swerved, then rolled over into the left and center lanes, the state police spokesman said.
