IDP nearly ready to start

ATTLEBORO -- The first phase of the long-awaited industrial business park remains on line to start this summer and could have tenants by this time next year, according to Economic Development Director Mike Milanoski.

All state and federal permits are in place and the city's definitive subdivision plan for the 17-acre parcel off County Street will go to the planning board soon, he said during comments at a hearing on the proposed capital improvement plan for the city.

`` We're leaps and bounds ahead of where we were two years ago on this project when it was dead,'' he said of the entire 189-acre $13.9 million project that is expected to be completed in three phases.
