ATTLEBORO -- State funding is in the works on Beacon Hill to make a proposed site for a community college handicapped accessible.
State Rep. John Lepper Thursday said he got an amendment attached to the state budget to fund work to make the former high school building on County Street accessible.
Lepper, R-Attleboro, said approval from the state Senate and governor is still required, but prospects look promising.
Advocates for bringing a branch of Bristol Community College to Attleboro have settled on the 92-year-old school as a site for college.
