Foxboro search turns up no drugs

FOXBORO -- Timothy O'Leary, the police department's youth crisis officer, said he is `` elated'' that a drug sweep at the high school on Friday resulted in no drugs being found in student lockers.

`` I think the students have gotten the message that there is zero tolerance in the schools,'' O'Leary said on Monday. `` This is part of our ongoing prevention efforts, and it went very well.''

O'Leary, who worked with acting Principal David Sweeney on timing the operation, said three drug-sniffing dogs were brought in from a regional SWAT team at 9:20 a.m. Friday.

Students were kept in their classrooms for about an hour during the search.

Police and drug-sniffing dogs searched the lockers that line the school corridors.
