Despite weeks of foreboding about commuter nightmares associated with the Democratic National Convention in Boston, passengers on the MBTA's Attleboro rail line Monday said the round trip was smoother than usual.

``Everyone I talked to in Boston at work said travel was a breeze,'' Niki Eastley of Attleboro said as she stepped off the train in downtown Attleboro shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Eastley, who works for Centerwatch, said the commute home was comparable to a Friday afternoon.

Her husband Carl, who works at Scansoft, found the going easy, as well.
