ATTLEBORO -- An 83-year-old South Attleboro man was placed under house arrest on an electronic bracelet Wednesday after pleading guilty to indecently touching a 15-year-old boy who did odd jobs around his home.

Franklin Powers of 24 Orr Ave. was placed under house arrest for six months by Judge James Sullivan in Attleboro District Court.

The sentence was part of a 21 / sub 2-year sentence, with the balance suspended for five years with probation. He was ordered to stay away from the victim, a neighborhood boy, and his family, in addition to minor children without supervision, according to court records.
