North Attleboro's Santa Claus parade has been canceled because of a potential unwanted gift from Mother Nature this afternoon.

However, Mansfield's parade and tree-lighting will happen today as planned, organizers said Saturday night.

Rain, and possibly thunderstorms, with wind gusts approaching 45 mph are forecast for this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
