BASKETBALL

Travel Tournament: CLCF/Cranston GALS will run one of New England's oldest, largest and best girls travel team tournaments on Jan. 13-16, 2005; $150 entry fee, 2 games guaranteed, entries due by Dec. 23, 2004. Attleboro Elks annual Hoop Shot will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 at the Attleboro YMCA. The free-throw shooting contest is open to boys and girls ages 8-13 (as of April 1, 2005), residents of Attleboro, Seekonk, Rehoboth and Norton. Winners advance to the District Championships. Times by age groups: boys/girls ages 8-9, 9:30 a.m.; boys/girls ages 10-11, 10:15 a.m.; boys/girls ages 12-13, 11 a.m. Registration is required. No fee. Call 508-222-5502.
FIELD HOCKEY
Foxboro Junior High Field Hockey: Foxboro Recreation has developed an introduction field hockey program for girls grades 5-through-8. Players will develop skills, stick and techniques as well as game strategies. The Recreation Department's goals for this program are to establish a competitive Junior High team for the fall of 2005, establish a feeder program for FHS and create more opportunities for female athletes. HOCKEY
Learn to play: Bay State Hockey has registration for its Late Starter Learn to Play Hockey Program, at the Veteran's Arena in Franklin. Class takes place on Saturday mornings from 9-9:50 a.m. Feb. 5-April 5, open to skaters ages 10-15; Each player receives an official practice jersey. LACROSSE
King Philip Youth Lacrosse: Open registration for the balance of available slots will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9-11 a.m. at the King Philip High School lobby. Team space is limited and registration on that day will be strictly monitored and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee for the 2005 season is $115. Checks should be made out to King Philip Youth Lacrosse, Inc. Please check the KPYL site (www.kplacrosse.org) for any updates or changes to this schedule.
RUNNING
Seekonk High School Cross-Country/Track reunion will be held Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 25 at the high school cafeteria. It will start at 8:05 a.m. with an optional 2 mile run. After the run the alumni will gather for a social until 10 a.m. in the cafeteria. Past athletes, parents and coaches are invited to attend.
SOCCER
Player's Choice pick-up game for women 25-over, every Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
The Tidal Wave Soccer club Boys U12 team is seeking players to fill its roster. The team's home field is Bliss Field in Rehoboth and the team competes in the MAPLE during the fall and spring of 2005. During the winter the team will continue to train at least once per week and play Indoor Soccer in a U12 division. The team will also participate in regional/national tournaments. SWIMMING

VOLLEYBALL
