Obituaries were reported for Coleman Foley of Mashpee; Thelma Cunningham, 91, of Plainville; Peter Waldron, 64, of Stoughton; and William Shinn Jr., 36, of Warwick, R.I.
Coleman FoleyMASHPEE -- Coleman V. Foley, an Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart, died Dec. 11. He was the husband of Claire (Lane) Foley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Patricia Brown of South Attleboro, Kenneth P. Foley of Rumford, R.I., and Sheila E. Foley of Wrentham; his grandchildren, Colin, Shannon, Courtney, Caroline, and Patrick; his siblings, Mary and Anne Foley, both of Dorchester; and the late Margaret DeCarli, and John, Patrick, Steven, Thomas, Paul, and James Foley. Also survived by 15 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Christ the King Parish, Mashpee Commons, Mashpee, on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours omitted.

Thelma Cunningham, 91PLAINVILLE -- Thelma L. Cunningham, 91, formerly of Plainville, a retired office worker, died Dec. 7, 2004 in Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Attleboro. She was the wife of the late John E. Cunningham.
Born in North Attleboro on Oct. 12, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Louise (Martin) Carley.
Educated in North Attleboro schools, she was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. She worked at Lyons Advertising in North Attleboro from 1931--1947 and later at V.H. Blackinton from 1947 until retirement in 1964.
She was the sister of the late Mildred Mikulis and Helen Carley, and Clinton Carley.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and grand-and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 from the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington Street, North Attleboro, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Martha's Church, South Street, Plainville. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
Peter Waldron, 64STOUGHTON -- Peter J. Waldron, 64, a retired administrator, died at home Monday, Dec. 13, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Gayle A. (Soule) Waldron.
Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Mission High School, Class of 1958. He had resided in Stoughton for 22 years.
Mr. Waldron had worked as a divisional administrator at AON Corp. in Dedham for 41 years, retiring five years ago.
In his free time, he loved traveling with his wife in their motor home.
In addition to his wife, Gayle, he is survived by his daughters, Janet M. Smally of Foxboro, and Kathie A. Ruby of Norton; as well as his grandchildren, Amanda MacAskill, Zachary Ruby, and Nicholas Ruby. He is also survived by his sister, Sr. Jean Waldron, SCH of Holbrook; and his mother-in-law, Bertha Soule of North Attleboro.
A funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., Route 27, Stoughton, on Friday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:15 a.m. Visiting hours are Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.

William Shinn Jr., 36WARWICK, R.I. -- William S. Shinn Jr., 36, of Fieldstone Road, a traffic aide, died Saturday in the Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Alise (Jorge) Shinn. The couple had been married 12 years.
Born in Newport News, Va., he was a son of William S. Shinn Sr. of Ashburhnam, Mass., and the late Carol A. (McLaughlin) Shinn. He had lived in Middletown before moving to Warwick nine years ago.
Mr. Shinn was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He had worked as a traffic aide for the Newport Police Department, formerly serving as a corrections officer for the A.C.I. in Cranston.
Mr. Shinn had been an avid scuba diver and hunter, and had served as a wrestling coach for 5-7 years olds with the Warwick PAL. He had also served as assistant wrestling coach at North Attleboro High School; and was a social work mentor for Salve Regina University.
He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and West Bay CAP Elder Services Unit. He had been nominated to be a Rhodes Scholar.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Ethan M. Shinn of Warwick; a daughter, Meghan C. Shinn of Warwick; a brother, Jude Robert Shinn of Hopkinton, Mass.; a sister, Catherine M. Day of Wilsonville, Ore.; and a stepmother, Dorothy F. (Foss) Shinn of Ashburnham.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Cremation with full military honors will follow in Swan Point Crematory, Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Friday, 5 to 8 p.m.
