NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Checon Corp. has received state approval for a tax break agreement that will bring the company to town from Attleboro.
Checon, which currently operates out of four locations in Attleboro, is planning to consolidate its operations at 30 Larsen Way in the North Attleboro Industrial Park. The company was the first and, so far, is the only business approved for a tax break by selectmen.
Town Administrator James Moynihan said the state approved the Tax Increment Finance agreement for Checon this week, and was pleased with the town's written policies on how to score companies that request tax breaks.
