Top Headlines The Bombardiers were under siege, the long-range missiles floating off the fingertips of Shamrock junior guard Nick Lupisella; the man-to-man defensive stops not being present; the end-to-end offensive motion unable to be created. `` We wanted to push the ball, we were looking to get some tempo,'' related Attleboro High coach Mark Houle, whose Bombardiers erased deficits upwards of 13 points, storming home with a 66-55 victory over the Shamrocks before a near-capacity crowd. The Bombardiers outscored Bishop Feehan 15-2 over the final five minutes of the first half to tie the score (at 34-all) by intermission, reeled off 11 straight points early in the second half to gain a 47-40 advantage and then expelled the Shamrocks with a dominating presence in the paint. Six Bombardiers scored eight points or more with a quartet entering into double scoring digits -- Mike Coyne (13 points, 14 rebounds), Drew Legare (10 points, six rebounds), Andrew Pomfret (10 points) and James Patterson (10 points, nine rebounds). In addition, Ryan Heverly (eight points) and Craig McBride (eight points, nine rebounds) contributed significantly to the Bombardiers' conquest. Lupisella knocked down four of the Shamrocks' seven three-point field goals and totaled 21 points, but no other Bishop Feehan player hit double figures -- significantly, senior forward Matt Doherty being limited to nine points and five rebounds.
