NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Town parks are going to the dogs, and Veterans Agent James McCann wants to do something about it.

The last straw came the day a passerby allowed his pooch to leave `` a golden blessing'' on the floor-length window of McCann's office.

From the window's vantage of Veterans Park, McCann often sees dog owners `` using our park as an open-air toilet for their dogs.''
