PLAINVILLE -- A car crashed into a crowded tanning salon on Taunton Street Thursday, causing up to $20,000 in damage.

The accident occurred shortly after 4:45 p.m. at Expressions Tanning at 27 Taunton St., police said.

No one was injured.

`` The car moved the tanning bed, blew sheet rock off the wall,'' Fire Lt. Brendan Mansfield said. `` Everyone was pretty shook up.''
