ATTLEBORO -- A city police officer suffered scrapes and bruises after chasing and tackling a suspect outside Burger King on Washington Street Saturday night.

Officer Dain dos Santos had pursued the suspect, who was allegedly being disorderly in the restaurant parking lot and resisted arrest, about 10:43 p.m., police said.

Dos Santos was expected to be treated at the scene by city EMTs, police said.

The suspect's name was unavailable at press time.
