ATTLEBORO -- Arthur R. Carvalho survived a World War II tour of duty as a Marine in the Pacific, and then flourished as a tool and die maker in Attleboro. Eventually he bought his own company.
He and wife Peggy raised five kids who went on to have children of their own.
In short, the ex-Marine who liked to strum his guitar in leisure times and sing his kids to sleep, built a business and raised a family of five, had 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
