Mosquitoes still pose risk

A spate of mosquito-borne Eastern equine encephalitis cases in the state has the public on edge, but experts say the threat is not great enough to cur tail outdoor activities.

`` We've been advising folks that they don't need to cancel outdoors activities, but to take precautions against mosquitoes,'' said David Law son, assistant director for Norfolk County Mosquito Control. `` It's really a needle in the haystack type thing, but you don't want to be the one that finds the needle.

`` Play outdoors, but wear long sleeves and pants and use bug spray,'' he said.
