Incumbent praised

Most voters leaving city polls on Tuesday said they cast their ballot for Mayor Kevin Dumas because he was the feel-good or, at least, the feel-better candidate.
Even the few voters who said they lent their support to challenger Tom Parker said they saw little chance he would unseat the popular mayor.
While voters were pressed to cite particular accomplishments Dumas could lay claim to during his first two-year term in the city's top office, they voiced a general sense of satisfaction and a willingness to give him a second term.
