WRENTHAM -- Army Capt. Joel Cahill, a former Wrentham resident who died when a roadside bomb exploded Sunday in Iraq, was remembered as a patriot and dedicated military officer by his Nebraska family.
`` He believed in the cause of freedom,'' Frank Christensen, Cahill's brother-in-law, said Wednesday from his home in Gretna, Neb. `` To us he had an `S' on his chest. He was a hero.''
Cahill, 34, spent his early years in Wrentham, but moved to Nebraska with his family before high school.
