Work to start on Bliss School
ATTLEBORO -- After sitting vacant and crumbling for almost 20 years while city officials struggled to find a use for it, the former Bliss School is finally being readied for transformation into affordable housing by a New Hampshire company.
GreatBridge Properties from Manchester, N.H., has completed its purchase of the site and is gearing up for construction, company official Bill Caselden said.
Parking privileges given to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for the lot surrounding the school have been canceled in preparation for the work.
