Pats shop for charity

MANSFIELD -- A battle against hunger was truly a tale of the tape -- or, given modern technology, disks.

New England Patriots linemen Dan Koppen and Russ Hochstein raised $9,550 for three local food banks during a two-minute drill Wednesday night to fill Super Stop & Shop shopping carts.

Koppen bear-hugged shelves of DVDs -- `` Batman Begins,'' `` Robots,'' `` Maurice Sendak's Little Bear,'' etc. -- toward collecting $4,775 in merchandise, winning the contest.
