NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Former Park and Recreation Director Tony Calcia is hoping to make a return to town politics by making a run for the school committee.

Calcia, now vice president of the Hockomock Area YMCA, has already returned signed nomination papers, making him an official candidate for one of three seats on the school committee. The only other person to take out papers for the seats is Selectman David Chee, who plans to run for school committee rather than another term on the board of selectmen.

Incumbent Bill Kummer said he plans to run for re-election, while incumbent David Manoogian said he will not run for another term.
