Travelers overcome by carbon monoxide fumes
FOXBORO -- Four travelers were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning Saturday after becoming dizzy when their car exhaust system broke down, filling the vehicle with potentially deadly fumes.
The victims, two males and two females, exited Interstate 95 south at Route 140, and pulled into the Shell gas station in the former Bradlees plaza about 4:30 p.m., fire officials said.
`` Their clothing reeked of car exhaust. That's how bad it was,'' Firefighter Tom Lovejoy said.
