Remembering the children

PLAINVILLE -- When her daughter Ashley Mahoney, just 17, died in a car accident last spring, Maureen Marino was beyond devastated.
Support from family and friends was greatly appreciated, but Marino said she needed to talk to people who had been through the same experience.
And so she has found some comfort in The Compassionate Friends, a nonprofit organization that joins people who have a lost a child, from any cause and at any age, to assist each other in grief resolution.
