Remembering lost children

PLAINVILLE -- Her face illuminated by a memorial candle, a Plainville woman whose holidays never will be the same read aloud the names of 11 children who, like her own daughter, are being missed this time of year more than ever.
`` It's so important that we all are here tonight,'' said Maureen Marino. `` Even though our children died at different ages from different things, the one thing that unites us is how much we love our kids.''
Nearly 100 people attended a memorial vigil at Plainville's town park on Sunday night, which Marino organized as part of the Compassionate Friends annual candle lighting ceremony.
