BOSTON -- Two former marketing executives from Attleboro have been indicted for allegedly running a $30 million pyramid scheme that swindled 400 people in more than 15 states, most of them fellow Cambodian immigrants.
James Bunchan, 51, and Seng Tan, 57, both of Attleboro and Quincy, were charged with 11 counts of mail fraud in indictments handed down late Thursday, according to the U.S. Attorney's office in Boston.
The scheme allegedly started no later than March 2002 and ended this past November.
