Helen Ray Biggane believed that students sincerely desiring to learn a trade, profession or otherwise expand their mind should have that opportunity.

Biggane, who worked at the former Wrentham State School for 70 years and died at 92 on Christmas Day in 1999, saw to it that students from Foxboro will have a financial boost.

The Helen Ray Biggane Scholarship will be funded by an approximately $100,000 gift from her trust.
