Lawyer has license restored

NORTH ATTLEBORO -- The state Supreme Judicial Court has reinstated the law license of a local attorney who was suspended from practicing for six months because of a 2003 vehicular homicide conviction.

Gregory P. Lee, whose office is at 144 North Washington St., can now practice law again after he complied with all the demands of the state Board of Bar Overseers.

Lee was convicted in October 2003 of causing the death of a motorcyclist in an August 2002 charity ride in North Attleboro to support breast cancer research when his car struck the man.

Lee's law license also was suspended for his failure to file a separation agreement in a client's divorce case in 2003.

The board also noted Lee, who passed the bar in 1986, had received an admonition in 2000 for the neglect of a civil matter resulting the dismissal of his client's claim.
