NORTH ATTLEBORO - Gloria M. Jordan died more than two years ago, but police say her Bank of America credit card has been living large.
Her grandson, Thomas E. Tomlin, racked up more than $10,000 in charges on the credit card last summer, police say.
Tomlin, 30, of 32 Johnson St. in North Attleboro, was arraigned in Attleboro District Court Tuesday on numerous charges including larceny over $250, credit card fraud over $250, identity fraud and forgery of documents.
Tomlin racked up $10,311 on the card at various establishments in Massachusetts and Rhode Island between May 18 and July 29, police said.
"He was living life financially off his grandmother," North Attleboro police prosecutor Christopher Ciccio said during the arraignment.
According to the police report, a Bank of America fraud department employee reported Monday that a card belonging to Jordan, who died Sept. 9, 2004, had been used repeatedly since May.
Bank of America traced the card to Tomlin through his Jeep Cherokee's registration after $2,932 was charged at New England Tire in Woonsocket, R.I., police said.
Tomlin allegedly told police that Bank of America officials had called his home several times.
