City coffee shop robbed

ATTLEBORO - Police are searching for a man armed with a knife that robbed a local Dunkin' Donuts late Sunday night.

According to police, the lone robber threatened a clerk with a knife, and demanded money from the cash register at 11:13 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

The man fled out of the Mechanic Street exit of the building in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of money.

Canine unit called

Police quickly converged on the area, and also called for a canine unit from the Rehoboth Police Department to help search the area.
The robber is described as a white male, 6-feet-tall and heavy set. The man was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a baseball hat. Police also said the man had severe acne.

Detective James Cote and Officer Kevin Fuoco are investigating the robbery.
