Last modified: Friday, February 16, 2007 1:17 AM EST Gillette Stadium to be Margaritaville Sept. 2, 8 SUN CHRONICLE STAFF FOXBORO - Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will perform two concerts at Gillette Stadium on successive weekends this September, the band's publicists announced. Buffett will make his Gillette Stadium debut in a Labor Day Weekend concert Sunday, Sept. 2, and return for a second show the next Saturday, Sept. 8. Both shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 26, and all will be sold through Ticketmaster. Buffett scored his second consecutive No. 1 debut album on the Billboard Country Chart last year with the release of his studio record, "Take the Weather With You." A concert album recorded in 2004 is due to be released in April. Gillette Stadium is a change of venue for Buffett in the Attleboro area. He has appeared numerous times at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, and performed at Fenway Park in Boston in September 2004. The larger venue, with its sprawling parking lots, virtually guarantees mammoth tailgating before and during the concerts.
