ATTLEBORO - A South Attleboro Cumberland Farms store manager is accused of embezzling $24,000 from the company by stealing deposits and altering bank deposit slips.
Tiffany Ford, 27, of Lincoln, R.I., pleaded innocent Tuesday in Attleboro District Court to larceny by embezzlement, forgery, uttering a forged document and larceny over $250.
Ford was the manager at the Cumberland Farms store at 651 Washington St. in South Attleboro until the alleged embezzlement was reported to police Friday by the company's loss prevention officials.
Ford declined to comment on the charges Tuesday.
Her lawyer, Bruce Rich of Norton, who was just appointed by the court to represent Ford, said he could not comment.
Ford was arrested Monday night after an investigation by Officer Paul Berard and Detective Jeffrey Peavey.
She is due back in court May 29 for a pretrial conference and is free without bail.
