Nothing like a good bath

Top Headlines McKenna began bringing home animals to bathe, so pets up for adoption at the pound would feel better and be more likely to get new owners. "It's good experience for me, and I figure these animals need TLC just like any other pet," she said. McKenna hosted her first canine "customer" last week. McKenna, an office worker, is planning to change careers and become a professional pet groomer. She's already enrolled in a certificate training program. McKenna has worked as a pound volunteer for the past eight months.

Keep up the great work! :) " Ruff-Ruff wrote on Apr 23, 2007 9:28 AM: " Deanna! Ask the city to allocate some of the bundles of money that's floating around for equipment. The animal shelter being last on the list. I'm sure they'll be a little left that will dribble down. You might be able to buy a brush at the dollar tree. Give those pets a hug and pet for me. " or
