Top Headlines Kids Day, sponsored by the North Attleboro Firefighters Kids Day Association, features entertainment, games, carnival rides, food, and more. So far, organizers have had another successful year. The yearly fire truck parade and fireworks show both took place on Saturday, a day when the mercury hit a perfect summer-like 90 degrees without the humidity. Today's highlights include the Kids Day Road Race, with three fun runs for youngsters at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K (3.1-mile) walk/run at 9 a.m. The kids' races are free, and registration for the 5k is $12 at the Falls School next to the field. The fair will be open from noon to 5 p.m. today. Admission is free. As for weather, forecasters are predicting that any rain will hold off until nighttime. The afternoon is expected to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 80s - a great day for a fair. Pets should not be brought to the field. No alcoholic beverages will be sold or allowed at the field.
