Top Headlines "The dispute is state police are lobbying stadium management to use them for details instead of local police," Foxboro Town Manager Andrew Gala said Tuesday. "We don't think the state police should be getting the detail work - that's an issue that has to be resolved." "I don't know of any lobbying efforts," Dan Murphy, vice president of business development and external affairs for the Kraft Group said. "I understand there is a jurisdictional matter between the state police and the local police and it's being addressed by these public safety agencies." A meeting is scheduled at the stadium 1 p.m. today, Gala said. Among those attending, he said, will be representatives of the Foxboro Police Department, the board of selectmen, the Massachusetts State Police and Gillette Stadium management. Gala said Foxboro police will be called for all accidents and vehicle problems on Route 1, as well as for the countless incidents that occur over time at Patriot Place, including shoplifting, thefts, credit card fraud and other problems. "If they're going to be called to respond for all these activities, they should be called for handling the mall traffic," Gala said. Circuit City is scheduled to open Thursday at Patriot Place, Murphy said. Bass Pro Shops is holding an Evening For Conservation at 6 p.m. Nov. 14, and will be open for business as of that date, he said. "I think it's a public safety matter that's going to be handled by the public safety officials," Murphy said of the dispute. "I believe the purpose of the meeting is for the two agencies to have that discussion."
