Businesses help food pantry
Top Headlines The business association decided to head this campaign back in November, and will collect food and clothing donations at 513 Winthrop St. (Route 44) on the second Saturday of every month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The donated clothing and non-perishable food items will be transferred to the Helping Hands Pantry for their ongoing work in helping families in need. Senior events on tap The Rehoboth Senior Citizens Club's upcoming events include: A three-day sponsored trip to Atlantic City that includes round-trip bus transportation, and a two-night stay at the Tropicana Casino Resort. Those traveling will receive a $20 bonus on arrival, two brunches, one free show and all gratuities. The cost is $139 per person. For reservations, call Pete at 508-761-5087 as soon as possible. Everyone is welcome. The senior citizens club will sponsor "An Afternoon of Nostalgia" in place of the regularly scheduled meeting, starting at noon at the Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth. There will be a choice of roast chicken or a baked scrod dinner. Tickets are $10 for active members and $18 for others. Call Beverly at 508-761-5087. Best Yet to Come The next meeting of the group, "The Best is Yet to Come, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at the Gladys L. Hurrell Senior Center, 55 Bay State Road.
