Local couple grateful for firefighters, alarm

To the editor:

Many thanks to the firemen who rescued us from carbon monoxide Christmas morning (2:30 a.m.).

They had us stay in a warm firetruck while searching for the source, which turned out to be a malfunctioning furnace.

Both our alarms woke us up. We are grateful to those kind and efficient firemen.
