" This is someone's child. My friend Moe Marino lost her only daughter to a "road rage" driver on March 4, 2006 in North Attleboro. The driver was never found and the two other girls that were in the car that night remain alive.

Moe's daughter is dead. Going to a sleepover at a friend's house on their way home on Route 1 and into a telephone pole - that's it. Ashley Mahoney is gone.

I know Moe, her son Tullio and husband Jay very well. Things will never be the same for them. They try to keep Ashley's memory alive and move on with their lives.

Ashley's grave is adorned at every holiday and in between. Moe wants her daughter to be cared for, no matter where she is.

The crime of it is that it happened a while ago and people forget. Moe and her family will never forget. They can't.

Vandals ransacked Ashley's grave during the 2007 holidays.

Can't find the person responsible (lots of leads but no finding), can't do anything about bringing her back, but we can forget.

I don't think so. Ashley's memory lives on with her family. We need to remember that a young child lost her life to "road rage". A "road rage" that nobody takes responsibility for.

Please remember Ashley and her family. They deserve to be thought of. "
