North reports finally located
Top Headlines Selectmen asked for copies of the reports and invoices in September. At that time, Selectman John Rhyno said he had heard the town has receipts indicating that independent inspectors were paid to review work in the subdivision, but that reports of those inspections could not be found. Town Administrator Mark Fisher said his office has received more than 500 pages of documents, including all invoices and inspection reports. However, he said it will take several weeks - at least- to go through all of the information because the reports and invoices have to be matched up. "This particular paper trail spreads over about five years," Fisher said. "It's going to be a lengthy process to go through it all." Selectmen have expressed frustration with the planning board and the pace of construction in the Hickory Woods subdivision. Residents have been waiting for years for paved roads and sidewalks after the initial asphalt was undermined by flooding. Recently, work in the subdivision resumed and Rhyno said residents there are pleased with the progress of the work.
