Attleboro dog-theft suspect arraigned

ATTLEBORO - One of the men accused of stealing a pet English bulldog during a housebreak pleaded innocent today and was expected to be released on $1,000 cash bail.

Timothy Brown, 26, of 10 Lafayette St., Apt. 1, in Attleboro, was also ordered to stay away from the victim and her family by Attleboro District Court Judge Robert E. Baylor.

The pet dog, Cosmo, was recovered two weeks ago in Pawtucket by detectives Jeffrey Peavey and Timothy Cook Sr.

Brown's lawyer, Susan Damiano of Attleboro, said her client used to work for the victim's son and that the charges were a personal "vendetta" the son had against him.

Brown's brother Raymond, 24, of 146 Carter Ave., in Pawtucket, his alleged accomplice, was expected to be arraigned later today.
