North Attleboro votes today

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Voters will go to the polls today to eliminate one candidate from a five-way scramble for two seats on the board of selectmen.

The polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. and all nine precincts vote at North Attleboro High School on Landry Avenue.

All five candidates have experience in North Attleboro government.

Incumbent Marjorie Kraskouskas, the town's longest serving selectman, is seeking a seventh three-year term on the board. Incumbent William Moffitt previously served as the town's tax collector, treasurer and town clerk.

Challenger David Chee has previously served on the board of selectmen and school committee. Challenger Michael Thompson is on the finance committee and has served on the board of selectmen and board of public works. And challenger Mark Williamson is serving on the finance committee now. The top four vote-getters will advance to the April 1 general election, where they will vie for two seats on the board of selectmen, which serves as the town's chief executive.
