NORTH ATTLEBORO - A local woman was scheduled to be arraigned today on charges she gave Xanax pills to a 16-year-old boy to sell.

Kathleen M. Devens, 42, of 18 Falmouth St., in North Attleboro, was arrested Thursday a warrant after an investigation by detectives Daniel Arrighi and Michael Elliott.

Devens is also accused of giving the pills to a friend who she told police was suffering from anxiety, according to court records.

She faces charges of distributing a class E substance, drug conspiracy and inducing a minor to distribute a controlled substance.
