PAWTUCKET - Five Pawtucket teenagers suspected of two armed robberies - which netted a grand total of $17 and a pack of cigarettes - were arrested Thursday.

A sixth Pawtucket teen, age 16, is at large.

The Lil General Store, 600 Main St., was robbed at gunpoint by one person around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 6, police said. The store was robbed of $17 and one pack of cigarettes.

The next night, around 8 p.m., two people held up the Star Wine Liquor Store, 318 West Ave., at gunpoint. The robbers left with nothing, said Major John Whiting, police spokesman.

Police determined that several youths participated in the crimes. Some acted as co-conspirators or lookouts and shared in the proceeds, Whiting said. Five suspects were arrested in Pawtucket without incident Thursday.

They are being referred to the Family Court to face charges.

Those five, and the charges they face, are: a 15-year-old, two counts each of first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery; a 14-year-old, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery; a 17-year-old, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery; a 16-year-old, conspiracy to commit robbery; and a 15-year-old, conspiracy.

Police are searching for a sixth suspect, a 16-year-old, who faces charges of first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Trying to find the firearm used in the robberies, police executed a search warrant at the residence of one of the suspects. The gun was not found.
