ATTLEBORO - An 11-year-old boy struck a van this morning while running to catch his school bus.

The boy had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, police Capt. David Proia said.

The accident occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Oak Hill Avenue near the Rehoboth line.

Proia said it appeared the boy was crossing the street to get on the bus when he ran into the van.

The accident is under investigation.
