GO: Brooks Williams in Raynham; Fools to help Steve's celebrate

Brook Williams will be making a CD release appearance at 8 p.m. Friday at Rick's Music, Route 44, Raynham in support of his new album "The Time I Spend With You."

The bluesy guitar player and songwriter picked up the guitar at summer camp at age 10 and honed his self-taught skills listening to recordings of Eric Clapton, Maria Muldaur, Bonnie Raitt and Ry Cooder. After moving to Boston from his native Georgia as a teen, he began to be drawn in to the city's acoustic music clubs and soon developed an eager following for his bluesy, fingerpicking style and expressive voice.

Williams has recorded 17 CDs for a variety of labels and has toured much of the world.
